Should I get the Ryzen 7 2700X or wait for the new i7 9800k?

So lately i've been thinking on getting the new Ryzen 7 2700X as an upgrade for my old system, but I just thought, should I wait for the new i7? I know it will be a bit more expensive than the current 8700k, but with the predicted 8 cores, not sure if it is worth it! I am not in a hurry to upgrade, but If I want to sell my current hardware, now is the best time to, what should I do?

Makes sense, so i7 will be 6 core, 6 fast cores tho but it isn't worth it to wait, the 2800x will also be faster, should I wait for it?

Based on the specs for other 9th gen parts, the i7-9700k will probably be identical to the 8700k except with 100 (maybe 200) MHz higher clocks. So like 2% faster. Do you consider that important enough to wait for?

True, If I get the 9700k there will still be a faster whatever coming soon, but there's nothing I can do, so Ill get the newer one without wait, which is the Ryzen.

Kind of, If I sell my hardware now Ill get decent money back to get the new hardware, because for some reason the market for my current hardware is very expensive, but in few months it will considerably decrease, so to sell, now is the time.

Not really, Ill just go for the 2700X, and probably then sell it and get the 2800X
