Should I get the MSI 970 GTX VGA as my main graphics card in this PC? Specs:

Motherboard: P35-DS3 rev 2.1 (with Xeon and SLIC 2.1 modded to it)

GPU: GT 730 (I want the GTX 970)

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 (OC to 3.67 GHz)

RAM: G.SKILL F2-6400-CL5D 800 MHz DDR2, 5-5-5-15, 4 Gigabytes (other 4 will arrive soon)

PSU: MSI MAG A650BN, 650W PSU

Add-on Cards (PCI and PCI-E): TP-LINK TG3468 Ethernet Card, and one other PCI Ethernet card

Case: DELUX MG760 Case

Enough is relative, you can always reduce settings and resolution until something is playable. It is the very new modern games that likely won't run. (Some will be OS limited anyway) Too low of VRAM in some cases, and others may need newer DX features the card doesn't have.

Relative performance compared to the GT730 will be massive. If we could compare them directly (you really can't) the GTX970 is 4 times larger as a GPU with about 5 times the memory bandwidth.

Even a GTX960 would be quite the improvement.

Correct, I agree with this. I am gonna get the GTX 970 and that will be great. I do not need to run new games only old games which for me is enough. Success 😉

All 970s are out of stock. Only one on Njuškalo left

Is that the correct one your looking at. Nice
I am looking at the Red MSI Gaming one. The one with two fans, and it is 2 slots, and the big heatsink. But not sure if it will fit. I gotta make space by moving the Cables (IDE cable and other PSU cables). My length from the bracket to the 3.5 inch bay is around 28 cm but I gotta move IDE cables or not use my DVD drives or get a bigger IDE cable

Update I actually did get the GTX 970, the ASUS STRIX DIRECTCUII OC model, it only needed 1x8-pin for the PCI-E power. It has been serving me well for the last 2 months. Also it is very capable 😉. Thanks all for the help, someone mark this as solved if possible!
