I pretty much only play Valorant on my HP Omen laptop - 144hz 1920x1080p monitor [RTX 4050 laptop,i5-13420H] <- click for specs.
I get 200-250fps consistently with my settings and GPU utilization sits around 40-55% (measured in a DM) with high CPU utilization around 90-100% as expected from a game like Val.
I am going to buy a bigger 144hz monitor to use as my display through the USB-C port that supports DP 1.4 alt mode. [Building a PC is not an option for me rn

.
My question is, Will I be able to maintain my current performance (or atleast maintain 144+fps on Val) if I upgrade to 1440x2560p monitor as opposed to staying with 1080x1920p.
Given that 1440p has 1.78 times more pixels, Is it reasonable to think that my GPU will be able to handle the increased workload? (50%GPU x 1.78-->close 100% utilization in theory).
I'm also assuming that CPU performance will not be affected that much by the increase in resolution(and even if it is, it probably shouldn't dip below 144fps right?)
What do you guys think? (Is this how CPU/GPU bottlenecking works? Am i right to assume that increasing resolution won't have a significant effect on my fps output?)
