Let's just start this thread by saying that I am rarely upgrading my GPU and usually I don't go with GPUs that are ~100 USD and higher, therefore I'm not looking for playing games on ultra settings.
My current build is:
Q8300 @2,7ghz (OC)
8GB DDR2 800mhz
VTX3D AMD HD6770
The problem with HD6770 is that it is pretty good with performance for my needs BUT it's running extremely hot - played Witcher 2 couple of days back on lowest and had around 80-100 degrees celcius!! Also on all other games it's easily reaching 70-80 degrees and the fan is running 80-90% all the time (gotta say that it's damn loud, and by loud I mean REALLY LOUD)
Now, I have an opportunity to buy GTX 750Ti Strix OC 2GB for 100 USD from friend, and from what I know it's really cool, quiet and power efficient - which is pretty amazing for my needs. BUT, there's also GTX 950 taken into consideration (will search for it also second hand) which has a reasonable higher performance and stuff like pixel fill rate and cuda cores, but it comes at higher price.
Besides gaming I'm doing video editing so it will be used also for GPU acceleration, because my HD6770 is no longer supported in newest version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC.
I'm torn apart between getting 750Ti cheaply and adding 40-50 bucks (which is a lot for my budget) and getting GTX 950.
