Question Should I keep my i7-4770?

I'm planning on upgrading my pc, but I'm unsure if I should spend my budget on a 2080 ti and keep my 4770, or if I should upgrade my cpu, ram, etc.

The GPU would be the biggest boost to gaming you can do. While having more cores would benefit it wont s much as the GPU and the 4770 is still a viable CPU for gaming.

If it were myself I would wait, save up and do it all at once. I find its better to build an entire system around each other component wise to get the maximum performance out of each part.

If you decide to go for it though I would go GPU before CPU/memory etc.

Going to upgrade to a 1440p monitor around the same time I upgrade my computer.

Well, I don't see any real reason to change the cpu then.

As for getting a 2080Ti: I have a 1080Ti, and the 2080Ti is the only viable upgrade(I can OC my 1080Ti and get 2080 Super-like performance).
I can't see it as a worthwhile investment, so I'm going to wait for Nvidia's next xx80Ti.
