Should I overclock my i5 4690k?

The most demanding game I play is World of Warcraft. If I should OC, is a fan like the 212 Evo good enough for overclocking?

Solution
Of course... that is why you bought a "K".

The stock cooler is ok up to a point.

Just gradually increase the multiplier.
Test with occt . The test will shut down at 85c.
Monitor vcore and keep it below 1.30v.

With the stock cooler in a good cooling case, you will do well.
Yes, it may take a aftermarket cooler to get your max oc.

You don't need to if that's what you're playing. As for the fan, that looks fine for a light over clock, but if you want to do more I'd get something beefier.

To be honest, over clocking the system you have would be more for fun. If you had an older system, you'd be overclocking to try and get more life/performance out of your components before you upgrade. Still, it's fun to get into.

You can even overclock on the stock cooler if you keep your voltages low - I am at 1.14V Vcore.
My CPU would probably go a lot faster than 4.2GHz, but I am limited by the cooler and the motherboard power phases.
For me it is not worth spending the extra money to go a faster..... to go from 4.2 to 4.5GHz would only be a 6% performance increase
