Hello I am wondering if I should overclock my Sapphire Dual-X R9 270 OC 2GB to get more performance out of it. I heard that you can overclock the R9 270 to the same speed (about) as the R9 270X, is this true? And should I try overclocking my R9 270? By the way I will be using it for gaming at 1080p and my motherboard is an MSI A78M-E35 motherboard if that matters.

It depends on if you're willing to sacrifice your warranty and slightly shorten your GPU's lifespan. If neither is a problem for you, then there's no harm in overclocking it.
Because it's a more personal preference decision, I would recommend looking up performance increase numbers as a result of overclocking the 270, and judge for yourself if it's really worth doing.

I do not think I really need to overclock right now (considering the games I am playing are that resource demanding, the most resource demanding game that I will have at the moment will probably be GTA V when it comes out for PC) but here is my full parts list so that you can tell me if it is a good idea to overclock down the road.
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760K 3.8GHz Quad-Core (non overclocked)
Mobo: MSI A78M-E35 Micro ATX FM2+
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 270 2GB Dual-X
PSU: Corsair 500W ATX12V
Please do tell me if you need more info that this

Ok thanks but I was thinking about upgrading to an i5 4460. Do you mind if I ask you a couple of questions about it.

1) Will I see a noticeable performance over my x4 760k that is worth the $250 that would cost me to get a new i5 4460 and ASRock H97M motherboard to go with it?
2) Will this CPU be able to run some CPU intensive games with ease?
3) Will this CPU last me around 4-6 years without needing an upgrade?
4) If I do need an upgrade should I get a whole new CPU with a newer socket or just go for an i7 4770k?
5) I do not plan on overclocking but should I get a "k" series of CPU so that if I see the CPU starting to lag behide I could just overclock it to get it back to speed? (again I do not plan on overclocking but if it would be a better investment in the long run I migh consider getting an overclock able CPU)
6) Would this CPU bottle neck any single graphics card?
Sorry for all the questions I just want to make sure if I do upgrade I am getting the best CPU and that it will last me a long time.
