Should I pair my RX560 with a Ryzen 3 or a Ryzen 5 CPU?

I just got a Gigabyte RX560 4GB. I want to upgrade my CPU but I'm not sure if I should get a Ryzen 3 1200 or a Ryzen 5 1400. Can someone please help?

For overall gaming I prefer the Ryzen 5 1400. It's just enough extra to get you over the hump in some CPU bound games.

Get the 1200 and overclock it. If you have the money for the 1400, save a few more bucks and get the 1600.

If you get the 1600 might as well save 50 more and get the 1700.

Ryzen 5 Definitely as it is more powerful. Like already stated by daswilhelm you should save a few more dollaridoos and get a 1600.

nothing wrong with that. you can always get a newer Ryzen in the future.
