Should I pay more for a 7.1 surround sound headset?

Hello, I am looking to buy a new headset. Right now I'm leaning towards the HyperX Cloud 2 since it seems to have the best reviews. The comfort, the mic and the audio quality are things I take into account. However, should I pay 40$ more for the Cloud 2 or should stick with the Cloud 1. The only difference I can confirm is that the Cloud 2 has 7.1 surround sound. I also read in other places that it has a better mic and has noise cancelling ear cups but I'm not too sure about that.

And if anyone has a better recommendation please feel free to do so. I live in Canada and my budget can get me anything below 120$. Thank you !

the soundcard on the cloud2 had issues at one point in time. i'm not sure if its fixed perfectly or not.

want virtual surround? get a xonar dg instead. its superior to the external one on the cloud 2 and you can use it for speakers too.

Thank you for the answer! Actually, the surround sound is not a MUST for me. I just wondered if it was worth to pay more money for the Cloud 2. I don't feel like getting a sound card 🙁.I think I will stick with the Cloud 1 after all.
