Should I reinstall?

I just upgraded my mobo and proc from a q6600 to a phenom II, should I reinstall the windows 7? would there be any other boost in performance other than the regular speed-up from a clean install?

Yes, backup your personal files and do a clean install. This will configure the hardware for best performance.
But you did not list the hardware, or tell us what problem you were having.
