My current ram sticks are mis matched and the both run at the same clocks 2133mhz timings are 15-15-15-36 they been running fine and in dual channel but I am wondering if it's best to ditch them for a matching pair for higher speed for gaming?

Specs:
core i5 8400
16gb ram 2x8 sticks
asrock b360 pro4
rtx 2060s
windows 10

Solution
You will most definitely see a performance boost when upgrading to at least the 3000MHz range. Your board and CPU can only support a max of 2666MHz speed kits. You can choose to upgrade if you think you've found a good price for a kit or will not be upgrading your entire rig anytime soon, but for intel the performance won't be mind shattering, about a 5-10% increase.
