Should I replace my Surface pro 1 with a Macbook Air?

Hi Guys!
I have a first generation Surface Pro tablet and I was wondering if it would be worth the upgrade to a boot camped macbook air for £660? I may upgrade due to the poor battery life and extreme heat issues with the Surface Pro.

there is still a bit of versatility that you loose by getting a unit with an attached keyboard.
