Should I return my BenQ GW2765HT for a QNIX?

Hello everyone..

I just went SLI with two 970's and I feel that 60hz isn't going to cut it seeing I always run v-sync.

I currently have a BenQ GW2765HT and being capped at 60hz is painful. Going SLI 970 was a bit of an after thought.

Should I go for a QNIX and roll the dice for a higher refresh rate? I don't want to go over $400 dollars for a monitor.

I love the BenQ but I want to push past 60fps....Whats the fastest 1440p panel under $400 dollars?

Currently playing BF4, R6 and Witcher 3.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Twin 970s screams for 1440p w/ G-Syn and ULMB. ULMB is a "feature" of G-Sync that requires a hardware module and that;s why Freesync monitors are significantly cheaper and Freesync doesn't come with any motion blure reduction technology.

Once ya get much past 60 fps, ULMB becomes the significant technology where as under 60 fps, G-Sync is the tech you want to use. But I can't think of one under $400, and certainly not one that is G-Sync and ULMB compatible.

IPS will cost ya $719

TN Model will cost ya $589

Thnaks.Thought about the mg278q even though it's free sync. Could I still use ulmb at 120hz?

I almost bought that acer tn panel. Ive had the BenQ IPS for a few days but always had a tn panel.

Hard choices here. Budget option would be qnix and lock in at 96hz?

Yeah. Got a great deal on a 2nd 970.. So grr.

All I would loose is the IPS and gain FPS.

Thanks hmm. 27" 1440p is really nice. The IPS is an added perk.

Not sure what to do.

No.

G-Sync - Monitor synchronization of fps w/ refresh rate + Motion Blur Reduction (ULMB)
FreeSync - Monitor synchronization of fps w/ refresh rate + __________________ (nothing)

G-Sync and Freesync basically do the same thing and it significantly impacts the gaming experience at 30 - 75 fps.

What G-Sync also does that Freesync does not is add some hardware (strobing technology) which eliminates motion blur. Some manufacturers do include strobing technology on their own .... not G-Sync monitors cause it's already there. BenQ does:

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I am super torn on what to do.. I can still return my monitor and can get the all the fees waived at newegg.

Appreciate all the links.. Is the strobe enabled by default? I don't believe that my BenQ will support it.

Well... hmm. Not sure what to do..

Should I spring for a g-sync panel or return this BenQ and save $100 dollars with a QNIX? I mean almost zero black light bleed and no dead pixels currently on my BenQ.
