You may be confused about streaming, you need both a good CPU and a good video card for streaming off the same system to maintain good frames. What are you looking at that talks about streaming using the GPU vs CPU instead of both of them?

Where have you ever seen a method that uses both? (at once)

Swiftaj just try both and see for yourself what runs better.
Fortnite is pretty weird when it comes to CPU usage and it causes a lot of problems if something else is running at the same time (like streaming) but if you use vsync in the game to limit it to 60FPS it uses pretty little of your CPU so you might be able to stream 720/60 with your CPU.

If you start up any streaming program you will see it used CPU cycles, and you can set encoding to GPU or CPU. Can't avoid using the CPU. Running any streaming program at the same time will end up slowing things down no matter which is selected, and based on the game. Never checked exactly the CPU hit on a system with Twitch though, I usually turn that thing off.

Yeah but the CPU cycles you use in the case you choose the GPU are ridiculously low,it hardly even registers and it does not affect the performance of the game at all.
