Recently, I bought an MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus and a Ryzen 5 5600. I was wondering if the BIOS version the motherboard comes with is compatible with the Ryzen 5 5600 or if I should update the BIOS using the Flash BIOS Button.

Updating the BIOS through the Flash Button doesn’t seem complicated, but if possible, I would prefer to update it after the PC is fully functional.

The motherboard’s serial number indicates that the manufacture date was April 2024 (B2404), but the number displayed near the PCI Express slot is MS 7C56 ver 1.3.

You have better control and information updating thru BIOS, at least you can see progress or get warnings, using the button you can only grit your teeth and hope you don't miss the light signal. That's needed only if BIOS is not ready for your CPU.
That's very recently made MB while 5000 series Ryzen is already 4 years old, Most 500 series chipset MBs had compatible BIOS even before 5000 Ryzen was sold.
