So I have a GT 1030 that is over 2 and a half years old now and I really want to upgrade it, it still works fine, just it kind of overheats when I play games. I have the Gigabyte GT 1030 OC 2GB DDR5 version, and I haven't been able to upgrade to something like a 1650 super because of the shortage, and the 1050 TI is also overpriced. The graphics card I want is a GTX 1050 Ti, but would this be a reasonable upgrade considering the price it will cost me? Also I cannot fit a dual fan graphics card due to me rocking some office computer with a really small case. Thank you!

I would. The 1030 is basically the speed of an IGP. If you can, the 1050TI is probably the best small card you can get. There were some ultra rare 1060 and other small cards, but the 1050 was the best smaller card I know of that was commonly made. Keep an eye out for the best price and if it falls to what you are willing to accept then grab it.

Thank you, but considering other options like the 1650, which for right now cost way more for some reason, should I still stick with the 1050 ti or upgrade to even the stock 1650?

If it's half height (SFF) then the 1050TI is a great option. If it is just a small case, Zotac makes a 1060 6GB single fan model that will fit most cramped mATX cases. My daughter is using one in her i7 4790 build. I got it for $120 in 2019. Right now it is probably north of $180 or more...

I guess but to be honest, the 1050 is just so over priced right now along with the other cards. Honestly paying double it's msrp when I could be getting a mini itx 1650 super for that price or even cheaper (I have upgraded my computers power supply to a 430 watt)
