Should I Upgrade Motherboard?

My current motherboard is an Asus M5A97. I am running a Amd FX8370 CPU and this CPU is no longer on the support list for this motherboard and I feel like it is a major contributing factor to the temp issue I have having with this CPU right now.

Should I upgrade?
