Should I upgrade my AMD FX-6300 CPU?

Hey all, I just wanted to know if I'm getting any sort of bottleneck with my cpu vs gpu.

I have an AMD fx-6300 and an Nvidia msi GTX 760. If there is no bottleneck would you mind telling me the best thing to upgrade to, whether it be my gpu and/or my cpu? Also If i am going to upgrade my cpu I would like to upgrade to an intel

i don't see any bottleneck there. the GPU actually SHOULD be the "bottleneck" but that only means it's able to operate at it's full capacity which is what you want. i would upgrade the GPU first, but then you'll likely need to subsequently upgrade your CPU.

why do you want to upgrade? are you experiencing any bad performance?

I agree with lion, the FX-6300 can have a better performance, when paired with another GPU (like the r9 290x) than what the GTX 760 can have, so the bottleneck does not come from the CPU:

AMD FX-6300 w/ stock cooler
GeForce GTX 760 Msi
500 W power supply (can't remember brand)
Gigabyte 970A-UD3P motherboard
8 GB of RAM
I also have a 128 GB SSD and a terabyte SSHD if that matters

They are pretty on par with each other. It would really depend on the application you are running if it was more GPU or CPU intensive.
