I'm just randomly reading some stuff about PSU and read that Corsair VS650 is a bad power supply, now I'm trying to change my PSU to SeaSonic M12II 620W which is about the same price.

Will this be worth it?

My current system are:

i5-8400
Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 4GB
Z370M DS3H
16GB RAM (2x8 G.Skill 8gb 2400mhz)

The Corsair VS is very low quality. It is mean as a system integrator, not a modern, mid-range system like yours.

And the M12ii isn't much better. Also low electrical performance, and lacking protections.

I'd upgrade to a Corsair Cx / CXM grey label, or be Quiet Pure Power 10.
Well....it's not necessarily "bad"....but it's not as good as their premium lines.

There are many PSUs out there that are worse than a Corsair VS.

So it's kind of a judgement call on your part.

If you don't feel comfortable running the VS and it's worth the money for you to feel more comfortable with the Seasonic....then I'd say do it.

The VS might run for years or crap out tomorrow. It's a tough call.
