Should I upgrade my fx 6300 or my motherboard?

I have an ASRock N68-VGS3 FX motherboard and a fx 6300 AMD, i'm worried about not getting good fps in some games like battlefield 4. I cant overclock my cpu with this motherboard (it doesnt allow it to reach 4.1 Ghz) Should I upgrade to another motherboard or save money and get maybe an intel?

RAM: 8 gb Corsair 1333
MOBO: ASRock N68-VGS3 FX
CPU: AMD Fx 6300

The upgrade from an FX6300 to an FX8300, while it will get you two more cores, will not help much with gaming as most games cannot take advantage of it. I would also discourage you from putting more money into an AM3+ MB as it appears to be a dead end, and not worth it just to OC.

Your best money for the time being if you want higher FPS would be a better GPU. Down the road, save up for an LGA1155 MB, and a Core i5 CPU.
