Hey guys,

I am looking to upgrade my gpu from the gtx 750ti to a gtx 970. Possibly the cpu from fx 4300 to fx 6300.
Any Suggestions would be great,
Thanks.

My specs are
Mobo: 760GMA-p34 (fx)
cpu: fx 4300
gpu: gtx 750 ti
ram: 8gigs DDR3
psu: Evga 500 watt 80+ bronze certified

Solution
i mean if you are playing with an fx 4300 i doubt you play cpu intensive games because you would be crying at 20 fps lol
so again, an i7 will not be needed

At the most id get what i have, a 4690k, Z97 (1150) motherboard, gtx 970, and an aftermarket cooler

My opinion is don't waste your money on a upgraqding to a 970. The fx quad core will bottle neck and the fx 6 core will too. I would look into getting out of that amd system if your lookin for a performance gain. For the price of a 970 I bet you can get a 4690K And a 1150 socket board even a 4460 is cheaper will also be better Than upgrading to a 970 with your current cpu and even the 6300 fx that 750 ti is a good card plus you will use everyinch of it with a i5 cpu 1150
Plus once you get into a 1150 socket you can always get a 4790k which is op for gaming

Who knows if he will even need a 970 that amd is bottlenecked right now anyway

woah woah woah, thats way way overkill and way too expensive, you dont need a $340 cpu and a $240 motherboard lol

An i5 4460, lga 1150 mobo, and gtx 970 is the perfect upgrade for you

And yes you can change cpu's and motherboards and your pc will turn on like usual with same data but run way faster

Well I can't just upgrade my cpu, i'd have to upgrade motherboard too. and then might as well look for the future right? get an i7 4790k and that 1150 motherboard. and gtx 970 with a 144hz monitor. I am sitting here with that amazon page open waiting to decide if i should buy this bundle lol

i said with a 1150 motherboard, whats your budget? i assumed you couldnt afford much? since you were originally only going to do a small upgrade

an i7 cpu is not needed for gaming
o didnt see that bundle comes with ram LOL
but wow its still $80 too expensive then buying those separate???

Well i'm not trying to spend too much since I just built this pc a few months ago when I did have a budget.
my budget right now is about 1,000$. I just ordered a logitech g910 keyboard though, so minus that 150$

I would just get into a 1150 socket and a less expensive i5 like I said up top 4460 and your would be fine with other conponets. Do you need a I7 4790k for gaming no but does it help yes in games like bf4 the i7 is better than i5 by 10 fps. Plus if your going to do any video converting for you tube the I7 will be faster I think its a good upgrade path personally I would even waste money on a 970 its a middle of the road card

than do what ever looks good to you we can only offer our opinions as to what we think will work best for the price

I was only refering to the bundle rather than buying it seperatley. I would still like to know your opinions on the matter. Thanks

But I should go with the i7 4790k an a z97 1150 socket board and a gtx 970

Listen were not telling you to buy a 4790k unless you want to get one were trying to help you gain more fps at a cheaper price I think a good 1150 mobo with a 4460 should do you just fine. you will see drastic fps improve just by this cpu upgrade with your 750ti

i mean if you are playing with an fx 4300 i doubt you play cpu intensive games because you would be crying at 20 fps lol

Solution
I am playing gta V cs:go, blackops 3 and WoW. Looking to get Doom when it's released but as it is now I can't participate in the beta because of the gtx 750ti which I don't understand.

I'm really looking for top performance later on though I don't really want to upgrade much for a while and when I do I just want it to be the gpu lol
