Should i upgrade my motherboard

Hi!
I currently have msi h81m-e33 as my motherboard and i upgraded my cpu to i7-4790k should i upgrade my motherboard i would rather not beacuse of strict budget i have heard that motherboards dont really effect perfomance
Also is intel stock cooler OK for gaming

No reason to upgrade anything. Only reason to replace the stock cooler is a non OCed system is if its to noisy or if the CPU gets to hot and causes thermal throttling.

That's completely wrong. There is a 1~2% performance difference between PCIe x16 3.0 and PCIe x16 2.0.

The Intel H81 chipset limits the CPU's 16 PCIe lanes to PCIe 2.0. It's even stated in Intel's specifications for that chipset.
