500GB + 1.5TB (Sata2 Seagate hard disks)
Intel Core2 Duo E8400
Antec Sonata3 Quiet Mini with 500W
Gigabyte S775 GA-X38-DS4
OCZ 4GB DDR2 800MHz (2x2GB) Reaper Heat Pipe CL4
OCZ Vanquisher CPU cooler
ATI Radeon HD5770 1GB.

Your system can still perform decently at this moment (if it is still working a.k.a not yet broken or facing instability issues).
Your system is a bit old but not yet ancient and not really out of date.
I think your system is still OK.
You can try considering an SSD for an update, and OC your system.

See my system for reference, it should have about the same age as yours (except for the SSD, PSU and GPU), I plan to get a new proc, mobo and ram somewhere next year, during sommer or perhaps later.

OCing the CPU will help give it some life. You will likely be able to get to 3.4 - 3.6ghz on stock voltage.

Depending on games and resolution, you could consider more powerful GPU, though on anything less than 1920 x 1080 the 5770 should be fine

I'll be using it mostly for gaming :] Also, would it be better to OC the CPU with a program or manually?
Basically the budget doesn't matter (I just want it to be up to date, sometimes it seems like my PC is waaay to slow).
