Should I upgrade my RAM from DDR-1600 to DDR-2400

GB Z97X Gaming 5 Mobo
4670K i5 CPU
GTX 770 (2Gb) - (considering upgrading to GTX 970/980 in the near future)

I am considering upgrading my RAM as overclockers.co.uk have a tempting deal
My current RAM: 16G (8GB 2Rx8 1G x 64-Bit x 2 pcs.) DDR3-1600 CL10 240-Pin DIMM Kit

The upgrade I'm considering: 16GB (8GB 1G x 64-Bit x 2 pcs.) DDR3-2400 CL11 240-Pin DIMM

The new RAM will cost £90, I reckon I'll get a decent percentage back selling my old RAM, will I notice any performance gains at all? All I use my PC for is playing games (namely: GTA V).

No you wont notice a single difference in gaming.

If you want you can try to lower the timings of your current ram to cas 9, but again you wont notice any difference.

Your gains will be small, if any. The biggest issue with memory speed is the card itself with discrete graphics. Intel integrated and AMD APUs do see a benefit from faster system memory due to their using it for graphics.

You could consider trying an overclock an your current memory to test whether you benefit from faster memory, though that sometimes has stability issues.

1600/10 is actually a bit under entry level of 1600/9, but gains will not be huge, best to put that money to a 970 or 980

Id also wait on the gpu, till new amd series brings hbm to the table, will be same performance gains as seen when switching to gddr5 from gddr3
