Should i upgrade now or wait for ryzen 3000

Hello,

I have a fx 8350 and hd 7970, 8gb 2333 MHz RAM.

I could postpone buying highly demanding games for a time.

My question is should i upgrade to what i have in mind.

Ryzen 5 2600x and Vega 64, 16gb ram 3200 MHz.

Or wait until the ryzen 3000 processors and navi GPUs are released.

My fear is that the new generation will outperform greatly the 2600x etc and for roughly the same price.

Personally I'm sitting on a 3350p/gtx 760 which is not overly different from your build. I was about to pull the trigger on on a 2600x/1070ti build about a month ago. after I saw adoretv's leak I decided to wait till CES to decide.. But after seeing the 9900k vs ryzen 5 engineering sample test at CES I'm waiting.

Yeah but what if they arent released until 2020, thats too long for me.

Their CEO said middle of 2019 at the world's largest consumer electronics show during a keynote speach. If that wasn't 100% certain she wouldn't have let those words out of her mouth

Yeah but wasnt that only for the CPUs?
What about the navi GPUs?

Your guess is as good as mine on them. Some leaks point to them around the middle of the year too. I plan to wait till 3rd gen ryzen comes out then see what we know about navi to decide
