Hello, recently i've upgraded my rig currently i have the following below
Ryzen 2600x
RTX 2080
rog-strix-x470-f-gaming
Arctic 280 aio ( new )
EVGA 650w 80+ gold (new)
and lastly 5 lian li fans 3 120 2 140mm (new)

i wanted to know if it would be worth upgrading to the newer 3000 series or even 5000 series i mainly just play games at 1080p.

also sorry for shooting off so many questions but i reside in Florida and the usual temperature is around 77-80 Degrees in my home. using quiet setting around 800rpm i am averaging around 47C is this normal? thanks for all the advice and answers in advance

Solution
At 1080p, that 2080 isn't really getting a work out. And at that resolution you are more CPU bound than anything.

If you can find a 5000 series Ryzen chip at standard or a decent retail price, i say go for it. But the current market is quite a mess.. and if you can't find a chip at standard retail price i'd stick with the 2600X until Zen 4 when i think the market will be better. (Though you'll need a new board too). Or maybe find a used 3000 series chip like a 3600.

47C is a perfectly fine temperature.

Just a upgrade Cpu to 3600 and wait 1 year and see what is New on the market.

You won't get bottleneck with an rtx 2080 paired with an 3600 at 1080p, you get bottleneck only with an 3060 at 1080p. So I suggest you to get an 3600 if possible in the current market and as others said look for the zen 4 in future. The 3600 rtx 2080 pair will last you another couple of years without any problem.

Backwards lol. A 2080 is Better by a decent margin than a 3060.
