Should I upgrade?

At the minute, I have an i7-3770 @ 3.40ghz, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB DDR3 RAM, and ECS H61H2-MV motherboard. It runs games pretty good but not as good as I would want to. I get 50-60+ fps sometimes dropping to 30-45 but not a lot in most recent games. I was wondering if I should upgrade my CPU? To do so, I'd need a new motherboard as well... Or should I get a new motherboard cause I think the one I have is bad?

I know nothing about motherboards so...

if you are upgrading to a new cpu you need a new cpu/mobo/ram to be future proof at all and have later upgrade paths. id suggest coffee lake i5 or ryzen 5/7 no tru need for current i7 in gaming (other than overkill)
