Should I use turbo mode for gaming?

I have a 1090T and I don't know if I should activate turbo mode for gaming. Normally it is 3.2 ghz for 6 cores. Turbo Mode goes up to 3.6 ghz but only on 3 cores. How do I know which games would run better on each configuration?

Given most of the load with games is on the first thread, it likely improves performance somewhat. Best way to tell is to track the framerates in similar areas of the games.
