Should I wait to upgrade?

I wanna do a new build but i dont know if i should wait. im planning on getting the 4790k and an asus rog mother board. Any advice would be helpful

What are your current system specs and what is your pc being used for? Multipurpose, serious graphics or cad work, video rendering, gaming?
