I'm currently deciding to build a PC! I'm very excited, but am unsure if I should wait for Pascal GPU's to come out? One of my friends is willing to offer me a used 750 ti that he just recently overclocked. He asked for about $90 for it and I don't know if that's a good price and neither does he. He just saw that price on ebay lol. Anyways I was wondering would waiting for Pascal and be good buying my friends 750 ti.

Solution
You can buy brand new 750ti's for @$95-$140 or a 950 for @$130+. A lot depends on the model of 750ti.if it's the value version by zotac or PNY the you ate looking at less than $100 nrwnew. The SuperClocked Evga or Gigabyte windforce or MSI Gaming will be more, but they perform better.

The 750ti isn't a bad card at all, it does ok on lower settings, so for most ppl with enthusiast class pc's, its basically a 'get by till I can afford my dream card' card.

With prices in etailers as low as they are for the 750ti, eBay isn't going to be your friend, ppl are buying the card for $100, getting the $15 rebate, then selling an otherwise brand new gpu for $110 + $6 shipping.
If i were to buy a used 750 ti (i don't like used graphics cards, you can't know what they've been through but are nice when in a budget) i'd buy it for 80$
But knowing that a new architecture is coming i'd take that money and save up the next months for something that will provide enough power to keep me playing for a few years...

Solution
Here's the thing. a 750 ti is the entry 1080p card. (Mixed settings depending on the game)
for 150$ you can get a 950 which is like 1080p gaming at a better combination of settings.
If you know you can get the money to get a better card when pascal and polaris hit the market (june for nvidia apparently and unconfirmed for polaris) then go for a 950. If money is a problem and you need to save up more then buy his 750ti.
