Should there be lag in fortnite with my PC?
750ti
G3220
6GB ram
The lag is kind of lag spikes whenever stuff loads ingame, i have high FPS, but then every 2-3 seconds it lags when it loads stuff(buildings, trees etc.)
When i play in creative mode there is no lag at all, but when i get into a normal mode, thats where it begins

Maybe good for very light gaming , I would reccomend a ryzen 5 2600 which in my country is around 150 , or cheaper a ryzen R3 1200 which in my country is around 70€. The Intel option is I3- 8100 but i fiind it too weak for 130€.

And compatible for your moterboard with a accesible price i would look probably for a Intel Core i5-4670.
Im not a fan of story mode games, which usually have very good graphics, and require very good pc specs, im just looking to play cs go, fortnite and more multiplayer games, so im not planning to play very heavy games

As boju said your post was very confusing about having or wanting such processor.

If you look at GameGPU tests you can see Fortnite Battle Royale delivering a minimum of 70FPS in an older, weaker i3-2100:

This framerate drops can be RAM or VRAM overflow, or even a bad HDD reading the elements too slowly. Also can be caused because of overheating. You should start diagnosing your PC because it definitely looks like it shouldn't be spiking like that.

Instalm MSI Afterburner with Rivatuner and show in OSD the relevant data available: CPU and GPU temps, RAM usage, etc.

@Alexanderwee

I've merged all of your threads here. Stop making new threads for every small variation in your question. You have multiple people helping you already and posting different threads over and over is just going to get you contradictory answers and never get to the root of your problem. Stick with this thread.

you should be able to play fortnight on med settings with that build if you turn on vsnc and limit the fps to 60
also as its an older cpu you would do well to run as little as possible at startup (anti virus, mouse, keyboard, gfx panels only...)
turn off anything like one drive.
open your nvidia panel and set the render ahead limit to 1. (pre render frames).
lastly you may be able to oc that cpu via bkclk overclocking.
just manually set the pci-e speed to 100 and be prepared to lower your ram multi as you increase blclk. you might be able to get it up to 3.6. results will vary depending on features in your bios... 3.2 is manageable by most with that chip

This is a hard thing to explain, so any other opinions/corrections are appreciated.
In short, more threads the better. If a CPU has 4 threads it can divide the workload from a game for example amongst those 4 threads. If a CPU only has 2 threads like in your case, the workload cannot be broken down as far, and modern games like Fortnite will not run well.
The more cores and threads the better. A 4 core 4 thread CPU like the I5 is more powerful than a 2 core I3 with 4 threads, since, in a hyperthreaded CPU, only some parts of the 2 cores are duplicated to allow for 4 threads. This results in performance better than a 2 core and thread CPU, but less performance than a 4 core CPU, all packaged in a small die.
I5 4460>I3 4170> Pentium G3220
An I5 4460 will vastly outperform that Pentium and allow Fortnite to run well.

Afaik, 750Ti's thermal design shouldn't stop it's fans from spinning so it could be a driver bug. Different driver might fix.

With your cpu getting so hot i would be hesitant running it any longer until this is sorted. Check the heatsink is on properly and can't be wobbled with your hand.

Intel's coolers aren't anything special so if your case doesn't have any kind of air flow i would advise against using them. Will be important to get cooling right first time for the i5. The heatsink must also match or better the cpu's TDP so can't be using a lesser cpu's heatsink on a more powerful cpu. 4460 is an 84w TDP, the fan below can cool 95w TDP.

There are plenty of fans out there all different prices. Possible suggestion:
