Shows connected but can't access websites

This is regarding my Acer Aspire E 15 laptop. Wifi has been working for over a year and now I can't access websites. Here is what I've tried so far:

I can ping google.com and it shows reply.
The wifi icon in the taskbar shows normal.
I've tried rebooting router.
Right-click > Troubleshoot on wifi.
Hotspot on my phone works perfect, so does plugging directly into the router.
Auto-updating wifi driver in Device Manager then reboot.
Going to Acer's website for their Wireless LAN driver, then reboot.
Disabling Firewall/Anti-virus.

I recently had similar issue. I wasn't on MY WIFI! got connected to some neighbor's.

I don't live in the city so no other wifi networks near me

did you try to redo your network settings on the laptop similar to the phone one .

I've "forgot" the network then reconnected. Not sure if that is what you mean
