shut down

ok folks, time to pick your brain again... i know i been doing a lot of pickin lately, but i'm grabbin at straws and loosing my mind here. everytime i load up a game and actually get into the playing world it shuts down within a few min, and i'm sittin at the desktop. no error message or nothing, just the game shuts down. i've tried new drivers and old drivers and still the same thing.

You need to tell us more... Which games.. What OS.. What power supply.. What version of directX. Tell me more, tell me more, did you get very far??? (just a little greese action. I hate Greese)

In EQ have you tried changing the graphics to low detail and turning off socials? And if so did it make a difference? Does the comptuer hang and you have to shut it off, does it reboot, or does it just automatically shut off completely. You may want to check the temperatures of your system also. That could be a problem.

yup, socials off, lighing off, res low with only 6 models selected. the game just shuts down and i'm at the desktop.. its like x ing out a webpage when it shuts down.. one sec i'm in game talkin to someone and next i know i'm at my desktop.
