Side Display for Youtube

So I have a R5 1600X, and a display and GPU for gaming.
I had the idea of buying a crappy GPU and monitor just to have on the side so I could watch Youtube or work on a doc while gaming. My idea is to buy a something like a GT710 and a 60hz 21-inch monitor, plug the GT710 into the monitor and have the extra unused cores while gaming go to the second monitor.

I feel like there's something wrong with this idea though, so If anybody had done this before, please let me know how it works out.

You can just connect a second display to your main GPU and get the same result. What GPU are you using now?

GTX 1060 6gb, I was worried that it might effect FPS and overall performance, but it seems like it may not pose an issue after some thought haha!

Try it and see how it performs before complicating your rig and running two mismatched GPUs. It is not a simple (if even possible) task to tell apps to use one GPU or the other.
