I'm on the search for a silent wired mechanical keyboard.
I've narrowed my list to:
  • Corsair k70 mk2 mx silent (Strafe mk2 silent is also available at the same price)
  • Razer blackwidow elite orange switch
  • Logitech G815 linear switch
  • Roccat vulcan 121 red switch.
These are the options available here.
I need it mostly for programming and a bit of gaming.
I need it to be as silent as possible and a workhorse of course.
The price of all is very close accept the vulcan which is significantly lower.
I would love to hear your opinion.

Silent Red switches are OK, but they change the feel enough to be pretty different from standard Red. The other switches are pretty quiet but you may need to add things like o-rings, lube and grease the stabilizers and maybe do the band aid mod to them in order to make them more quiet.

I like the Gateron Red switches a lot, especially the Optical Red. Keep in mind they are not "silent" like the Red Silent, but very smooth and not clicky.

I don't know if I'd recommend the corsair keyboard as it has some reviews that say it isn't reliable to sum it up. Although every product has bad reviews. I've been using a corsair keyboard for over a year now, however I suppose quality can vary depending on the product.

I'm partial to razer, and enjoy their switches a lot, but they tend to be expensive. (If someone says razer is bad, they're dumb. they're sometimes not better/just equal at a higher price.)
The corsair is a bad choice in my opinion. I know of 2 K70's who failed.
The roccat is a good candidate IMO

As for the logitech: it has linear switches, which are "mechanical" but are not clicky, and don't have a tactile bump, so I really don't enjoy them, but some people really do.
