the psu is not blowing right into the case. theres a case fan underneath to blow the hot air out of the psu and metal casing around the psu to keep the heat from going up to the cpu... i doubt this case is meant to be a super overclocker case or something. just mid grade gaming case. it'll work just fine.

Glad to know I wasn't the only one.

Study the photos: the PSU intakes cooler air from the bottom
and exhausts it out the side, via that removable plastic grill.

One of the photos shows the bottom panel, with the chassis
tippped 90 degrees on its side. The PSU's intake fan is
clearly visible in that one photo.

Also, another factor to consider is the higher efficiency
of most recent PSUs: above 85% there will less heat
to exhaust, as compared to less efficient PSUs.

p.s. On much closer examination of the photos, it does
appear possible for some of the PSU's exhaust air
to recycle back into the angled fan that blows onto the HSF.

Then, there is another pair of intake fans in the bottom
panel, which direct cooler air into this angled fan.

I think the solution to this difficulty would be
to add a baffle which prevents the PSU's exhaust
air from recycling back into the case through that
removable plastic fan grill. Then, that angled fan
would be getting its air from those 2 fans in the
bottom panel, and all of the PSU's warmer exhaust air
would then exit the chassis and rise up and away
(because hot air rises).

I'm having a hard time interpreting what I'm seeing when I look at that haha. Pictures probably don't do it much justice though.

Compact may be nice, but managing heat is more important for part life. I don't see how it's possible in such a compact area. Then again, I'd have to wait for some temp tests.

[citation][nom]brendano257[/nom]Fanboi? You instantly discredit something just because it 'looks' like an Apple product? For one thing, it's an anodized aluminum finish, and it's a great finish for any tech product. And for another, it's not nearly as compact as an Apple chassis.[/citation]
But then again, do Apple's pack 12 inch 5970's? AFAIK the GTX 285 is the fastest GPU available under mac......

I have a strange and stupid question. I have examined all the photos, and I'm not entirely certain as to where an CD/DVD drive would be installed. in the second picture there looks to be what could be a slot for a slot loading drive, but I cannot tell. If someone can see where it's at, could you point it out to me? Thank you.
