Since installing another 2 sticks of RAM, I am getting micro-stutter.

Hi everybody, so I was already using 2x4GB sticks of Corsair Vengeance RAM, and I bought a 16GB kit of the same RAM and added that in, now while playing Battlefield 1, my framerate falls lower than it did prior to install and I am getting some micro-stutter on GTA 5. Should I maybe remove the first 8GB? Any chance that is the issue or do I just have to fix something in my bios maybe? Thanks in advance.

Oh, here are my specs btw, if it helps:

Motherboard: ASRock H97 Pro4
CPU: Intel I5 4690K @3.5GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (MSI)
RAM: 2x4GB + 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz
HDD: 1TB Seagate ST1000DM003
SSD: 240GB KINGSTON SV300S37A240G

As a matter of course I would check both memory kits, in relation to there memory timings just to make sure they are the same.
All four quoted on the label sticker of each kit of memory modules.

Also the T rate either 1T or 2T.
Memory timing and sync errors can be the cause.

Also have a look in the bios of the motherboard to see what memory mode is selected.

Ganged = dual channel mode for ram. All cores get access to 100% of the ram.

unganged = single channel. Each core gets access to a stick of ram.

In theory, the unganged mode is better as each core will get access to data quicker. In theory.

10-10-10-27 is the new 16gb kit
9-9-9-24 is the 8GB

So is this maybe the problem? If you guys think this is fine then I will go make those changes in the BIOS, thanks for the quick responses

Hey guys, just a quick update, I bumped the voltage up to 1.55V and it all seems to be fine now, will choose this fix as the best answer when I am certain it definitely is fixed. Is looking good though, thanks a lot guys :)

Hey again guys, so after playing over the past few days, the framerate has definitely smoothed over for the most part, however I do sometimes still get frame drops, and I also am getting a consistently lower frame rate than I was prior to the RAM, do I maybe just up the voltage a little more? Or is this perhaps a problem due to the timings?
