Since installing GTX 1070 - Screen very blurry/Pixelated

Hi all,

Ok so I need your help. I recently (3weeks ago) installed a GTX 1070 on my system. First game I played was BF1. Started noticing that everything seems very blurry. At first I though is was the game but then I start to notice it on my desktop icons, words, when browsing, everywhere. I also played Battlefield 4 a few days ago and noticed the blurriness there too, so I knew something was wrong...

If I sit in front of my screen I can literally see the little pixels on my mouse and desktop icons. Its very difficult to explain but my Monitor is not sharp anymore.

I did re-install my drivers numerous times(DDU) , I did try to change setting and resolution. Nothing works.

i7 4790/MSI Gaming 5/16gb 1866mhz RAM/MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X/- Monitor - Samsung S24D590PL - Running at 1080p

I have no idea what this can be? Can it be that my GPU is faulty?

Also just to mention - In game my resolution shows 1920x1080 at 59.95 HZ and not 60hz. Don't know why?

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try to adjust the resolution in NVIDIA Control Panel?

I did yes. Also for one or other reason the connection says HDMI - HDTV, and I am using a monitor?

There is one thing that I saw in a forum somewhere on the internet, by changing the refresh rate to 59 and adding a custom resolution, I have not tried that yet.

Are you able to send a screenshot of what it actually looks like in your screen? I cannot image what it looks like in my mind, so pictures can help, but if somebody else with better knowledge comes along, then listen to them, but right now, I will try my best to help you.

I think it will be difficult to see though.

Just to mention. I recorder some gameplay with MSI after burner a while ago and it looked awesome when I watched the video, however when playing it did not look like that on my screen...

I had the same problem. Once I went into the advanced video setting in the game and turned on DX12 everything smoothed out. Hope that works for you too.
