Single 16GB DDR4 stick or 2x 8GB sticks?

I currently have a Hyper X Fury 2400mhz 8GB stick. I'm upgrading my PC to a Core-i7 7700/7700k and a 8GB RX 480(Not 580 because they're overpriced here). Not an i5/R5 + 1070 because I'll be changing the GPU after Vega/Volta comes out. My board only has 2 RAM slots. I was thinking that 16GB may not be enough for about 5 years. Or will it? If not, I'd better go with a single 16GB for future upgradability, right?

If you get the 7700k you will want to upgrade the motherboard for overclocking possible 2 years down the road. I would just get the 8GB stick and get a 4 dimm motherboard z270 at some point. I dont think even 24GB'w will be enough for 5 years. Make it 2 x 8GB and after getting a z270 you could up it to 48GB's.
