So, I'm in the process of getting into Elite Dangerous, and soon to be getting into Star Citizen. While I know Star Citizen will be WAY more demanding. I am wondering if my single Asus Strix 970 would be good enough to play Elite Dangerous on ultra, with decent FPS, on 3 1080p monitors.

All 3 monitors will run at 60hz.
I found this

Being that those games are quite a bit more demanding afaik, I wouldn't think you would need two 970's to run a space game on 3 monitors.

Dunno about ED ..... You're getting about double of what one w/ expect for BF4 ... at least at 5760 x 1080 4xAA. I must assume that ya cranked the settings down a bit

Star Citizen, Witcher3, Far Cry 4, etc will warrant SLI though, you can stay playable by reducing GFX settings

Yes, but will elite dangerous require that amount of graphical horsepower? Bf4 at 1080 ultra runs about 60fps no problem, and uses 99% of my gpu (according to Asus GPU tweak/monitor), and in Elite dangerous it only uses about 30-40%

on a single monitor at 1080p with everything turned on an up, It runs fine on BF4. Not sure if it's 60hz because I haven't used anything like fraps. But it runs smooth enough for me to not notice anything wrong lol
