Hi everyone I want to know if a single gtx 580 can run 2 monitors a view sonic vx2439wm at 1680by1050.(which i thought could do 1920by1080 but cant I guess so if anyone has a fix maybe please say.) But the second monitor is a vizio 32in tv at 1920by1080. Which Im trying to fix by replacing a cap. So i dont really know if a gtx 580 can just run any two monitors or do i need 2 in sli. Also im looking for the gtx680 or 780 or whatever there calling it and if it will run these two naturally. If they dont i might get a 7970. So thanks everyone.

Solution
Yes, pretty much any GPU can do 2 monitors natively. 3 monitors requires SLI from Nvidia, but AMD can do it natively as well using DisplayPort.

Did Nvidia change SLI, last I knew if SLI was engaged on one display port would work, been a while since I used SLI so I am curious.
