Hey guys,

My specs are (minus my gpu)
Mobo: Asus Z87M-plus
CPU: Intel I5 4670 3.4GHz (note: has turbo but cannot be overclocked as not K version)
RAM: 8gb G.Skill DDR3 2133MHz
PSU: OCZ ZT 650w
CPU cooling: Corsair H80i
Case: Coolermaster Storm Trooper (/w 2x 120mm fans)

I'm looking to upgrade my Asus gtx 660 ti which is struggling with some of my games. I have the money to get any one of the gtx 980 varients. The gigabyte one from reviews looks the best but I hear it's quite power intensive and I'm concerned my 650w psu might not be enough.

Can my system handle the 980? If so which variant would be best for my system?

Also while I'm here, does anyone immediately notice any system bottlenecks that may cause problems if I get a 980? Ideally I don't want to replace anything else on my pc right now but will if absolutely necessary.

Thanks,

Taze

Nvidia recommends a 500W minimum for the GTX 980.

The new Maxwell-equipped GPUs have proven to be very powerful and very low wattage. Your system is fine and there will be no bottleneck with the i5 you have.

As to which one? Look for the one that has the fastest clocks out-of-the-box. Chances are good that it will OC better than most. And if you don't OC. you will already have a factory OC'ed card anyway.

Btw, the H80i liq. cooling system is a bit overkill on a processor you don't OC, isn't it? But it looks good, huh?

Thanks guys, looking like I'm going to go for the Gigabyte G1 gaming edition. I would go for the Asus Platinum but It seems to be an overclockers card and if I don't intend on overclocking then £100 extra is probably not worth it.
