Can anyone tell me what to do? Buy a single R9 270X or dual R7 260X? I will be playing BF4, Minecraft, X-Plane, AC Black Flag at 1080p

Thanks in advance

You usually want to buy one of the best card you can afford, not 2 of slightly worse cards. While the performance would be greater with 2 crossfired cards, upgrading your GPUs later would be difficult without dropping a lot of cash. So if you got a R9 270X now, you would be fine in the games you listed, and later you could add another if you ever needed more performance.

It's all about futureproofing. If you don't particularly care about futureproofing, then go with the crossfired cards. You will get better initial performance.

vram is not that improtant. but this supbejcyt is somehting i would like to know myself. i would think the 2x 260x would be around 15% better or so. but i wanna know aswell. Vram is only important in some areas. Tomshardware did a article last week about how vram is a little over rated.

That's fine. It has a 2 year warranty so you'll notice any problems (if there are any) within that timeframe. My only gripe is that the PSU isn't too awfully efficient. Not a problem, but it would save you some money.

Now how much are you paying for the R9 270X? Because I can only seem find it for the same price as a GTX 760, and the 760 is a much better GPU. I recommend you look into getting the 760. Also, you if you want to be able to SLI/Crossfire GPUs later, you will want to get a slightly more powerful PSU. Like 700-750W. Just a thought.

Can't seem to find anything positive about these PSU's.

Can't you spend more to get a quality PSU for your system?

I am talking 60-80 euros

PSU's such as these:
http://www.pccomponentes.com/corsair_cs650m_650w_80_plus_gold.html

OR

http://www.pccomponentes.com/corsair_cx750_750w_builder_series_80_plus_bronze.html

I mean sure they cost more but these are the CHEAPEST PSU's i can recommend off that site...

I couldn't find ANY info, spanish or english reviewing the one you linked.

If you could spend more on your PSU, that'd be ideal.

I'm getting the Sapphire Dual-X R9 270X with BF4 included for €189. The non-BF4 version costs €175. The GTX 760 is around €220

Thanks for your help, I will look into it

Yeah, AshyCFC is right. I rescind my previous statement about the PSU. Unless you can verify that it's a good PSU, you can't be sure it won't blow up in your face as soon as you turn on your computer. 😛

The Corsair builder series are okay, but I've heard a surprising number of bad things about them. Pretty much anything from Antec, Seasonic, or XFX are guaranteed to be great. The only problem is the pricetag! Definitely worth it though. The last thing you want to fail is the PSU.

Huh. Dang.

ivykoko, have you heard of Hiper PSUs? They're apparently a reliable brand that's popular in Europe. If you can find one, it'll probably be more reliable.
