Single slot GPU for server?

Hi everyone,

I have just purchased a server (https://ark.intel.com/products/48662/Intel-Server-System-SR16
25URR). It has enough room (I think) for a single slot GPU. I have the riser. I would like to put a 1060 3gb into it (I know it's a server and gaming GPU would be silly but bear with me). Is there a 1060 3gb single slot.. or a mod for it?

2009 server hardware with 2018 GPU - perfect match!

A server does not need a GPU - the on-board video is more than enough for any server OS. Keep in mind that there are no Windows 10 drivers posted, nor PCIx16 slots.

Hi Alabalcho,

This will sound very silly, but I will be partially using this for gaming I have the PCIE x16 2.x riser for the server. Do you know about an NVIDIA card around 200 dollars (single slot).

I know nothing about GPUs, co I can't recommend anything. But you should also invest in pretty good noise-cancelling headphones - these servers are anything but silent.

There are not a lot of choices.
Supposedly there are GTX 1050 single-slot boards - but I haven't found one for sale. I'm using a Radeon Pro WX3100 which is under $200. Works for me but even slower than the 1050.
