Question single vs dual

Why are those the only 2 choices?

I'm tapped out financially. I have two G.skill Fortis 2400 DIMMs (OC'd to 2666) running in dual channel.

I had a 32 GB g.skill trident z samsung b die 3200 kit. I sold half the kit like an idiot (I was in dire straits). So I have a single 16 GB 3200 dimm.

just trying to get my system set up the best it can be. mostly just web browsing, but i mess with VMs, play some games like BF-V, mess around in photoshop a bit.

also i'm running a ryzen apu but using a gtx 1080....i think it has half the pci lanes of a normal ryzen....not sure if that factors into memory performance

Probably a Win98 VM for playing Rogue Spear or a MacOS VM for just my personal amusement
Win98 does not need, nor can use, "16GB RAM".

Here is my system, 32GB, running 4VMs and the host Win 10 Pro
