With every HBM application needing to be tuned to the specific bandwidth, timing, sizes, quirks, etc. of whichever HBM manufacturer product they pick, having a JEDEC "standard" loses much of its relevance beyond the pinout and voltage levels.

Right? It's still a pretty niche option. Unless demand is gunna spike due to AI nonsense. Cpu and gpus can both benefit from hbm in the enterprise or supercomputer sectors, right?
