Skin or Case

I am getting an S7 Edge (don't even start with me, I had S6 edge which broke, filed a thing, which gives S7 edge, no other option, so don't tell me how I should be getting iPhone 7/Plus). My S6 Edge is a fantastic phone, but now I am getting a Black Onyx S7 Edge because my other one was broken. The screen cracked, and it was a little broke on the back. Keep in mind it was completely naked, no skin, no case, no nothing.Now that an S7 Edge is coming to my house, should I get a case, or should I get a skin (likely dbrand)? Cases are durable but bulky and don't feel very good, or a skin which protects scratches, but I don't know about cracks. Which should I get? I will be using the S7 for 1 and a half years. Which should I invest in?

Get a leather flip case which protects it all over when it's closed.
