I think what the article means is that Skype makes these deals so the business can offer the free WIFI to customers; like Starbucks does here. Not a bad idea actually.

umm...

meanwhile in the real world business owners just get a regular internet hookup and give customers a little sliver of paper with the password on it. money saved... useless costly additional service avoided.

Not really sure this is massively newsworthy, but it should be welcome by both consumers and businesses. Customers get access to the 'Net and businesses get access to customers. Win-win.

I know some people will moan that it blocks porn stuff and phishing websites, but that's a good thing, you won't want to access those websites in a company
