Skyrim was working fine since i got it but i haven't played for a while and when i've tried to launch it lately, it will immediately pop up saying 'Skyrim is not working'. Can anyone help me please?

The the above didn't work could you delete the following folder and try again the following folder and try again

(X):\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim (The skyrim folder itself..)

If it still not working can you provide more information as to where the game is being stuck at? and more information about anything you have recently changed..
could you provide as to detail as in when this message pops up ""'Skyrim is not working'""

These question should be able to help us understand where the problem is and provide you with solution

Are running skyrim in steam?

If so can you see the steam message Saying preparing to launch Skyrim?? (If you cannot see this error is most likely in the steam launcher config file..

If yes can you see the launcher for skyrim after this? (this is where you can see mods you have installed change you settings etc.)
(if you get error during this step than error is again either in steam launcher config file or the skyrim's intimidate pre-ckeck before launch )

If you can see this screen can you unselect any mods you have installed and try to launch the game without any mods..
(If you can get up to this step and the error occurs when you click on play than most likely mods have been update and are now incompatible )

Les us find out where you are stuck than we can move from here.

I can see the launcher and have no mods running (as skyrim has been uninstalled twice) the message pops up after i press play.

Mods that you previously had are reinstalled once you install Skyrim again. (i might be wrong but can you conform this again by making sure no mods are running not even the high res pack if you have it running..)

and give deleting the (X):\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim (The skyrim folder itself..) a try. let me know if it still pops up with same message after you delete the folder and uninstall or (uninstall than delete that folder) and installing the skyrim again

That doesn't seem to be working. I'll try it a second time.

Sy went to Sleep was a bit Late Last night, I Live in in GMT timeline hence..

Ok if you Did this as you are still having the crash problems Lest try a few things.

Sry i am exactly unable to Figure out what is wrong as you only have the message "Skyrim is not working"(First time i have seen just this this, this is a broad range... (damn Bethesda give me some error codes ) if there was any-other messages or codes it would help a lot)

Still fine though we will try all the normal fixes first.. (Fix 1 is not normally a fix but sometimes a corrupt/modified steam file could be the reason. Try these and let me know.. any further error codes messages.. beeping, flashing anymore hints could be helpful if you notice don't forget to mention them

FiX1 :- try deleting all the steam config files.(you can do the following.)
Log out and exit Steam
Navigate to the folder where Steam is installed (by default: C:\Program Files\Steam\)
Delete all of the files and folders except the SteamApps folder and Steam.exe
Launch steam.exe, this will reset all the "Steam settings and files"

Fix 2:- Could you install the following again:-(just nagivate to them and double-click than install)
...\Steamapps\common\skyrim\DirectX10\dxsetup.exe
...\Steamapps\common\skyrim\DotNetFX\dotnetfx35set up.exe
...\Steamapps\common\skyrim\VCRedist\vcredist_x86. exe

Fix3 :- if both fix one and 2 doesn't work try this..
Exit Steam.
Go to the Start menu, select Run, type regedit and click OK.
Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\VALVE
Right click and select Permissions
Check the Allow boxes for Admin and System for both Full control and Read.

Could you also provide information on if you have changed any hardware since you last played skyrim
