I'm having a rather peculiar problem with my Skyrim Cider Wrapper. I can play on Ultra settings at a medium size resolution (can't remember the number atm). I can stand still in the game and look at anything and have a really high framerate (not sure on the number but I'd say it's well above 30, probably in the 40s). However, when I move, I'll get a brief stutter every few seconds. When I look around, I get huge, half-second stutters constantly. I also get huge lag spikes when initiating combat (which is rather debilitating). I've tried messing with some .ini settings and playing at the lowest detail, but nothing has changed.

Specs:

Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 512 MB

Software OS X 10.8.2 (12C60)

Im no expert but id say its the intel graphics 4000. I use a gtx660 2 gb dedicated graphics and it runs amazingly smooth. Also is the intel 4000 shared or dedicated graphics? That could be your problem but im not 100% sure

That's what I'm thinking too, but I just find it strange that combat will lag horribly sometimes and other times be perfectly fine. I don't know if it's shared or dedicated. How could I find out and/or change it?

Look up ur computer specs. Is it a laptop or desktop. Im pretty sure its shared and I don't think theres a way to change it. Also skyrim is massive so some parts may be easier on your system and some parts may not. If possible I would upgrade your graphics card but im not really sure how customizable apple is with there pc's.

Try running skyrim on the absolute minimum setings and see how that works
